Yes, it certainly defines a difference between the two. And I addressed it several times. Here's the mention at the top of the discussion:

"It seems to me that the distinction between Christian martyrs and Islamist martyrs is that the former is nonviolent and passive in achieving death and the latter is violent and active in achieving death. So we have active vs. passive martyrs and violent vs. non-violent martyrs. "

So why are you revisiting it with your bizarre question? Perhaps you were, er, speed reading and missed my point. I'll assume that it was just an oversight on your part.
