George,

Let's just settle this as a difference of opinion, you believe MRVC can't compete with the "big three" because it is not big enough and doesn't have the sales/support network to get the big contracts.

I respond by saying that is why MRVC hooked up with Intel and Fujitsu, that is huge in terms of marketing/support clout. I recognize they are not big in networking right now, but they will put the money and support behind their Fast Ethernet (as shown by Intel's Fast Ethernet advertising found in most popular computer publications.)

I'm not saying MRVC has to beat CSCO to every major deal, right now they probably aren't big enough to be considered for the FULL SERVICE >$50 million deals you describe. To that I say, so what? There are tons of small businesses building of LANs, colleges, etc. etc. a huge growth market that might be interested in MRVC's superior cheaperr products. EX: Brown University ONLY buys Intel Ethernet adaptors.

The networking and fiber optic industry is growing at a rapid pace, with room to grow for the good players. If MRVC establishes its products even only at the low end, it will do well.

CSCO has a market cap of $35 Billion or so.
BAY has a market cap of almost $5 Billion.
COMS has a market cap of over $7 Billion.

Will MRVC be the next CSCO? Probably not. But with a market cap of $450 million or so, by continuing its rapid growth and by even JUST becoming a successful low-end player, can this company become $2-4 billion market cap in the next few years??
George, you have to admit that the potential is there.

MRVC is running on all cylinders, read the shareholder's meeting record post I put up last week or so. Until it shows otherwise, I truly believe the growth will continue and give us a tidy return.
I don't like it when people call posts here "hype", albeit I am biased since I do have a position in MRVC. But I try to be as truthful, rational, and factual in my analysis here. I welcome all rational discussion and criticism, that is what these boards are for, to bring light to the truth. Read the posts, research the company, order the investor's packet, read the shareholder's report, decide for yourself if MRVC has the potential I believe it has.
