Revised 7/20/07 update
(Just realized my prior update was using pre-closing data. So, I'm reposting with the closing data.)
The plunge in GPCB & SPPI following the satraplatin debacle capped off a lousy week for small-cap biotechs. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 2.01% YTD (vs. up 3.59% YTD a week ago), while the median for the Charity Contest portfolios was now down -3.32% YTD (vs. down -.89%% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, 12 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 11 of 31 beating the NBI.
RCMAC remains in first place with a 30.3% YTD gain, but his lead was substantially narrowed by ICEBERG who now sports a 27.9% YTD gain.
Below is the Top Ten list on 7/20/07:

7/20/07
Rank Name Total
1 RCMAC 30,264
2 ICEBERG 27,879
3 FRED 21,277

6 ROBERT 12,126
7 MOPGCW 10,294
