Jim, the current instant gratification generation doesn't understand real suffering and sacrifice. They would have pulled out of the Iwo Jima war(costing 27,000 marines lives in 36 days) after day 2...same with the Tarawa war, and the Bougenville war, and the Guatalcanal war and the Omaha Beach war, and the Battle of the Bulge war. The wakeup call will have to be another 9/11 with 30,000 KIA. I hope it doesn't happen.
