Dear Friends,

I strongly support views expressed by Bob Macek concerning the difference between Biotime's plasma expander(BUT NOT Oxygen carrier) and Somatogen's recombinat Hb solution, which is a true Oxygen carrier.(I have described details in my posting #172 previously.) Interestingly, rHb 1.1 's molecular weight is close to 5% Albumin, which would make it a plasma expander. This could be a real plus, a dual role therapeutic agent.
