If the surge is working so well why are they moving the goal-posts from September? No reconciliation has taken place between the Sunni and Shia. If it hasn't moved forward one inch so far why are you clinging to the belief that suddenly it will? NEWSFLASH: Shia and Sunnis hate each other. Why would the Shia want to share oil revenues with their most hated enemy the Sunnis? Why does Bush continue to bang his head against that wall? De-bathifcation is solidly under the control of our old fiend (Shia) Chalibi - you think he gives a damn about the bad situation we are in? We tried to screw him yet we cling to the hope of his co-operation after all these months. BTW attacks and casualties are up and increasing on US forces - not going down. Still, after all this time, average citizens seem to have a better grip on whats really happening in Iraq that the insiders in the Bush administration. Once these neo-cons latch onto a concept they sure have trouble letting it go - and thats no way to run a third world country - let alone the US.
