A GOOD secretary or TA or whatever, person who has to print things for an employer, will check the stack of blank paper and make sure there is enough to process the days work. If the stack is getting low, she/he would order or put in a request for more BEFORE they run out. Can you imagine a company like MSFT running out of checks for the computer printer because no one checked the amount in the stack. Or invoices for that matter? Running out of paper was a NO NO! It should never have happened. I would fire them on the spot.

As a bookkeeper, I never let the supply get low enough to run out! Invoices, statements, checks, etc.
