Let me clue you in on ole Bernie. First off, he is a Canadian transplant you drew up LDDS on a napkin and then ask a waitress to name the comapny. WCOM is a cult stock that is built on debt. Hey, don't get me wrong, I like the greybearded longhair that doesn't wear a suit or tie and listens to C&W. I love the guy!!!

First falsehood. SEC, FTC and the rest of GOV will probably kill this deal. Why? Controlling 60% of the Internet isn't something the GOV will go for. Why? They broke up AT&T so that they could create WCOM??? Somehow that isn't what they are looking for. IF they allow this deal, then they can't ever say no to Ma Bell ever again!!! "We at AT&T are buying so and so and then are acquiring this and that.!" Think the GOV wants that Pandora box reopen?? Then there is the lawsuits that AT&T could level and I, a former shareholder, could level. GOV prevent AT&T from doing exactly what WCOM has been!!! I don't think so.

Second falsehood. If WCOM, little podunk company can make a play, what prevents a ROBC or someone else to jack up the bid?? If the GOV doesn't raise any objection about it in a week or two, then Ameritech could and should make a bid.

Look, Bernie approach AT&T about merging......this should tell you something. On this I totally disagree with Gilder. Forget this deal, it will never happen.
