This is the exact same reason that the PII is faster than a K6 ... so now
you understand why I focus so much of my posts on technical details of
IC processes.

I still contend that we (All on the AMD/AMD News Only Threads) will be
able to assess the success of AMD's .25um process by just reviewing
the operating supply voltage ... if this voltage is 2.0V or greater, then
AMD will not begin to match Intel's CPU speeds !! BTW, for notebook
applications, this voltage needs to be around 1.6V - 1.8V !!
