As I portray the old grouch on the board. The Owl is our resident philosopher, and one that I admire greatly.
When you can catch him writing as a lawyer and an ordinary man, he is very down to earth, logical and learned. His absenteeism from the board, brings about within me a feeling of melancholy with which I am not comfortable.

The sparring that goes on between us is on my part meaningless
and I always learn from his words.

My late friend Vic was a true Renaissance man and the Owl also falls into that characterization. The responsibility of that adjective is a heavy burden and requires constant vigilance and research.

My jibes about reading at the Owl are meaningless. I think that in depth reading is now his occupation, coupled with a gentleman's conscience. But his Wit, now that requires an Enigma machine.
