A Leading Nigeria Operator Selects Harris Stratex Networks for $19M Wireless Infrastructure Upgrade

Hardware, software and services to support major national expansion
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., July 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX - News), the leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, today announced the receipt of new orders totalling $19 million from one of the largest mobile operators in Nigeria. The orders are for equipment and services to increase the capacity of the existing wireless transport network and to expand into new areas in northern Nigeria.
As the leading supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, Harris Stratex Networks will provide TRuepoint® and MegaStar® digital microwave radios for the core and access segments of the transport network, and NetBoss® network management software to streamline network management functions. Harris Stratex Networks will also provide a range of support and construction services, including site builds, site maintenance and equipment installation.
