Pelosi sees 250 million Americans as criminals

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., wants to hold Harriet Miers for contempt of Congress, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Contempt of Congress is a crime? If so, then 250 million Americans must be criminals, because there is a deep and abiding contempt for the job the Democratic Congress has done in its 6 months in power.
Democrats have not done a damned thing except announce investigation upon investigation of the Bush administration in the Democratic quest for that impeachment needle in the haystack.
Across the board Americans have graded the job that Pelosi and Senate Plurality Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., have done. The Reuters poll found only 21% of liberals approve, only 10% of ultra-liberals approve, only 8% of independents aprove.
Americans resent this “most ethical Congress in history” deteriorating into the most mean-spirited, partisan, do-nothing, hateful, spiteful, cat-fighting Congress in at least 151 years. Kinda hard to top the caning of Republican Charles Sumner — by a Democrat, no less.
Queen Nancy has a tin ear for the contempt the American people have for her, her party and her Congress. Reported Wyatt Buchanan of the San Francisco Chronicle:
<<< The House Judiciary Committee will bring contempt of Congress charges against the administration this week, said the San Francisco Democrat. She did not specify who the subject of the action would be, but Pelosi spokesman, Brendan Daly, said later it would be former White House counsel Harriet Miers, who defied a House Judiciary Committee subpoena to appear.
“They have disregarded the call of Congress for information about their politicizing the Department of Justice. We can document that. Those are actual facts and we will bring the contempt of Congress forth,” said Pelosi, who spoke with reporters at a San Francisco workshop for people who want to become U.S. citizens.
She also addressed criticism of the farm bill and reiterated her opposition to impeaching President Bush. >>>
Farm bill=impeachment?
What an incredibly tiny mind.
Of course, executive privilege and lawyer-client privilege trump Pelsoi’s partisanship. Reported the Chronicle:
<<< White House spokesman Rob Saliterman said such an action by the House Judiciary Committee shows an interest in “partisan attacks” above real finding of facts.
“It’s unfortunate congressional Democrats are continuing on the course of confrontation,” Saliterman said. >>>
Pelosi promised to pass an agenda for America within 100 hours of taking office. It’s been nearly 200 days now. Has anyone seen that agenda?
