I am paid by production. Number of patients seen per day. This year my pay has been cut 20%, so just to keep my income level I must see 20% more patients per day. Doing a test in my office would be inefficient. This is simple economic reality.

I do rule out H.Pylori infection in patients who present with epigastric abdominal pain. I do not see physicians testing for H. Pylori in regards to NSAID therapy, unless the patient had abdominal pain.

The labs control which test is used more than the physician. When I investigated my labs rapid strep test, they did switch to a cheaper test but it was not QDEL.

I do believe QDEL has some great tests. I have been disappointed in the stock so far. But, I do believe that it is undervalued and has the potential to double in a year.
