I'm proud to say I wasn't wrong at the time, and have posts on these threads to prove it. When Bush first brought up Saddam and Iraq into the mix after 9/11, I said "HUH?" and did a big double-take. Where did THAT come from?

Before long, it was obvious to anyone paying attention that he was trying to manipulate America's fear and anger after 9/11 and direct it against Saddam and Iraq. Bush WANTED a war with Iraq. The still unanswered for-sure question is WHY?

Powell displaying grainy satellite photos at the UN, saying that THAT anonymous-looking truck is a mobile weapons lab and THAT generic-looking building is a WMD factory clinched it for me, along with the little coke-vial of Anthrax he waved around. They were spending Colin Powell's cred to sell the war lies now.

The laugher that I can't believe ANY American bought was Saddam's "drone fleet" of UAV's that were somehow going to cross the Atlantic and spread Anthrax and God knows what else across our beautiful country! We're a much DUMBER country than I would have believed, and we definitely need to upgrade our education system!
