Just because the hedge fund went under it doesnt mean its assets have become worthless. ---- 10 to 1 leverage? I think it's very possible. Look at Bear's 2 funds. One worthless and the other essentially so. The "assets" got no bid when they tried to liquidate. Do you follow the ABX indexes on those derivatives? I posted an article on fannie and freddie on the real estate crash thread. The OFHEO report is available on the FNM yahoo message thread and here as well. FNM & FRE are time bombs without financials. Liquidity for mortgages is being vaporized. Where will the buyers come from?
