I went down to Raleigh two years ago when VT played State in the season opener and came away with a deep appreciation for the State fans and football program. This young man has character.....if for no other reason than his boiling his choice down to the two schools .. I abhor the damage that the two Vick brothers have done to the reputation of VT as a university. So much more shall the decent alums and students work to repair the damage these two thugs have done. It makes one wonder if we did not pay a price on 4/16/2007 for tolerating these two thugs for too many years,( along with too many offenses of athletes across the entire athletic program especially the football team ) making excuses for them, and in effect contributing to the consequences for placing too high an importance on athletic performance instead of old fashioned character and decency. Evil will rear its head in any possible circumstance in areas that would seem totally unrelated to the offense. The innocent will usually be the ones to pay the price or most of the price it seems.. Forgive me for rambling but it does make one wonder.. Go Hokies.....
