Do a google on Wahhabi Islam. They are very strict and very intolerant and Islam in general has not relaxed the way Christianity has over the past 400 years. Obviously Saudi Arabia is important because of the oil , but haven't you heard that most of the insurgents in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia?
