Thanks for that link. As an heirloom bean you can plant it. This will have to wait a year.

No way I'm going to pay $5 a pound for beans to eat. I leave that to the hoi hoi's. My pintos and lentils will do fine.

Lentils are very easy for sprouting. Soak for one day. Simple to buy a cheap stainless mesh strainer. Change the water a couple of times a day then and add to your salad.

I make a meal sometimes with the sprouted lentils, blanched white corn sliced from the cob, and some sesame seeds. Add some basil a little cilantro and the dressing of your choice. Try this, it's pretty easy this time of year when the corn is so good.
