Hi Allen.

(1) The internal drives for OEMs are SCSI, correct?

(2) Also, for my analysis a few days ago, I was generous and used
4 million for the number of ZIPS sold in Q1 and Q2 1997. This
yielded a penetration ratio around 3%. There is no way they sold
4 million in the first 2 quarters of this year, so that ratio
is probably much lower.

(3) The corresponding PC sales for Q1 & Q2 1997 were during a period
when cheap PCs were only 7% of the market. Now they account for
30% of the market, of which ZIP has ZERO penetration.

(4) HP de-emphasizing the ZIP, after HP was the first on board!

(5) Continuing erosion of ASP of ZIPs, with no high margin products
to pick up the slack in Q3.

(6) Lateness of 8 million annoucement.

All the above pieces of data contribute to me being less than
optimistic. Now, let's see some bulls put some numbers
where their mouths are!

(I fully expect people to call the above 'trash' without any data
to back up their claims. oh well!)
