I believe that these publish data referred to the market days just prior to the capitulated selling on Wednesday, the 25th of July. The capitulated selling, as indicated by the put/call ratio, has corrected the overly-optimistic market sentiment. So I think Vernie is absolutely correct that the rally should carry through Aug. 1.
