AMD Yields

Someone check my math here. Per slide 158, "defect densities below 0.5cm^2 range". I'm not sure what that means... but if I plug the numbers into Bose-Einstein ...

chipdesignmag.com

Do=.5cm^2 = .0775in^2
A=283mm^2 (Barcelona die size) = .439in^2
process complexity factors N between 11.5 and 15.5
Yield=1/(1+ADo)^N

I get between 60% and 68%.

That's a lot higher than I thought it would be (assuming I did that correctly).
