That was a confusing prediction on a semiconductor slow down. On the other hand, from Motorola's just-released earnings report:

Semiconductor Products Segment

Segment sales increased 12 percent to $2.1 billion, and orders rose 35 percent. The segment reported an operating profit versus break-even results a year ago.

The highest order growth region was Asia Pacific, followed by Europe, the Americas and Japan.
