He's not a fund guy per se, he's just made a living out of keeping track of everybody else's funds, sort of like Morningstar

I haven't really followed TrimTabs data since the Y2K days when it was more freely available (i.e. non-subscribing) -- mostly along the lines of monitoring the levels at which JSP was continuing to drop his bi-weekly payroll check-off into the market -- it was a fairly decent indicator at the time, albeit a lagging indicator for obvious reasons

However, in this particular case, he's not so much reporting as interpreting and almost predicting the data, and he could very well be completely wrong -- hence my "FWIW" disclaimer
