I said: "What they did prove was what did NOT GET SHIPPED OUT OF IRAQ....WMDs."
You replied: "So that means somebody has definitive knowledge of what the convoys contained, at least to be sure that they didn't contain wmds or equipment and chemicals needed to make them. Links please?"
In view of the post you were replying to, that response was inane. I'm going to assume, however, that you are actually obtuse enough to fail to grasp that your reply was clueless. In that spirit, let me try to create an analogy that, even assuming you ARE totally clueless, you might grasp.
Let's say you live in a house we'll call "Number 1 Iraq Street." Let's assume you are physically helpless to such an extent that others must do everything for you. At some point, packages with unknown contents are shipped via UPS from your home and your nosy neighbor, who hates you and would like to see you destroyed, claims that you're manufacturing and shipping meth.
The FBI investigates. They interview and offer huge rewards to your housekeeper, your butler, your maintenance man and your cook who all say they were there full time and they never saw, smelled or heard anything suspicious. None of the telltale signs of chemical residue, smell or apparatus associated with meth manufacture are found in your home. An out-of-control FBI branch, however, won't take "no" for an answer and they shake down your family members, but there's still no evidence.
The FBI agents reluctantly conclude that it was impossible for you to have shipped meth and, based on that reasoning, they don't care whether you shipped paper or rocks in those packages.
Confronted with an angry group of neighbors who ask why so much expense and turmoil was caused the nosy neighbor refuses to admit that it was impossible for her claim to have been accurate and argues; "where's the proof that those packages didn't contain meth?"
That's you, Nadine, the nosy neighbor asserting the embarassing defense that "no one knows" when it's clear that it is only the ideologically blinded, magical thinkers who WON'T "know."
And that's the kind of ideology-over-reality thinking that keeps our soldiers in the slaughterhouse of Iraq. Ed |
