One great thing about Adobe in the long term is the international angle. Most of the world is still not using the kind of graphics-capable computers that are common here in the U.S. And fortunately, graphics software is one category that travels well. Adobe software is already extremely popular in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong and those economies being the most advanced are bellweathers for what will happen elsewhere over the coming decade.

I think that with Adobe it doesn't particular matter what the stock market does over the next year. It may bop around up and down, because earnings are certainly vulnerable to Apple developments. But I just stay long because I think Adobe is on a long rise and will outperform the market over the next 5 years and also the next 10 years. Since it is not humanly possible to predict the shape of the upward slope, why mess around with short-term trading?
