That is bizarre thinking. We have some of our best hostage rescue folks already at the scene. I cannot comprehend why we should simply allow members of an allied country to be slaughtered and not even consider a rescue.

I would not be the least bit surprised if ROK SF is there too. I would be surprised if they were not there. Of course we should let them do their work if the opportunity becomes available and assist or run the operation ourselves if more appropriate.

God's grace is sufficient for them.

Sometimes God's graciousness includes being saved.

I spent about a month with the Korean White Horse Regiment on combat OPS in the Dong Bo Mountains North of Cam Ranh Bay. If the Koreans decide to take a significant combat role, the Taliban are going to get some rude, crude and well-deserved classes on how to kill.
