7/27/07 update
The bears held another wild bash on Wall Street and left a major mess that won't be easily cleaned up. When it was all over, the Nasdaq Biotech Index 2007 gain was gone with the NBI now down -.58% YTD (vs. up 2.01% YTD a week ago), while the median for the Charity Contest portfolios was down -10.86% YTD (vs. down -3.32%% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, a mere 9 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 10 of 31 beating the NBI.
Taking advantage of the week's distractions, ICEBERG (up 23.4% YTD) snuck past RCMAC (up 21.8% YTD) to capture the contest lead.
I'll be in NYC next Friday for my nephew's wedding, so those still following the contest will be spared at least one week of bad news.
Below is the Top Ten list on 7/27/07:

7/27/07
Rank Name Total
1 ICEBERG 23,375
2 RCMAC 21,844
3 FRED 14,786
4 FILOF 9,563
5 TECHNET 6,817
6 MOPGCW 5,575
7 BIOFISH 5,549
8 ROBERT 3,947
9 MANNY 2,258
10 WILDER -50
