The old cat we took in a few years ago has hair instead of fur and it tends to clump and she doesn't like it brushed. My wife took her in today to have the clumps removed and they gave the cat a clipping. Silver tips look grey but the hair closer to the body is white. We now have a real skinny white cat with a grey face, tail and legs.
