To me it looks like a real product, and 3Ghz quad core now is much more than what I hoped for a couple of days ago. That's just your opinion. To me, a 4.0GHz Pentium 4 demo when Intel was already shipping 3.4GHz, seemed a lot more real than a 3.0GHz Phenom demo seems today, when AMD is shipping nothing, and only committing to 2.0GHz in the beginning, with 2.3+ GHz "Special Editions" to follow.
