Unless you're claiming demand has been way above expectations.... I'd be surprised if it much more than 30000 per quarter. AMD's head honcho, Hector Ruiz, had played down the ramp rate and first phase capacity expansion for Fab 36 in May 2004, during the fabs "topping off" ceremony. The fab would, according to Hector, have an initial 15,000wspm capability and would be ramped to that level within an unspecified time. Any further ramp would be dictated by demand. fabtech.org By the way, their loan covenants require a minimum 75% yield at their Dresden FABs: (b) a certificate issued by the Technical Adviser confirming that the Borrower has achieved a minimum of 325 wafer starts per week on average over a period of four (4) consecutive weeks (the "Average WSPW"), and a seventy-five (75) per cent. average process yield over the same period of four (4) consecutive weeks (the "Average Yield"); sec.edgar-online.com Sorry to rain on the wbmw, sarmand, doug "bad yields" parade. :-)
