I suppose they're afraid that what you pray for you are inclined to act on. But for crying out loud. There are some millions of (non Catholic) people actively planning and working to wipe them off the face of the Earth. They are almost supernaturally blind.

If the Pope ordered his Church to pray for the return of Protestants to the fold my attitude would be thank you for the kind thought.
