Yes, MSN, GOOG, and YHOO specifically are slowing down M&A. Sure, they can spend their own cash, but you don't want to when credit is tightening.
Yes, hedge funds probably would have made significant purchases of VCLK as a likely takeover target. That is a typical hedge fund play. Can I prove it? Can you prove the converse?
Yes, VCLK at the current valuation based on take over speculation and risk associated with SEC concerns is a speculative risk laden stock. That's why the price fell, because people didn't want to value it that way any more.
No, I said many things. You don't have to agree. But that is why you are "surprised" by the price drop, and why I am not. You have to come up with some other explanation than everyone else in the market is stupid.
