LindyBill; You seem to think that selling arms to people increases the chance of war. Wait a minute! I thought our enemies in the ME were the terrorist..... Perhaps my point was muddled. Just as you say - the government of SA doesn't have a lot of power and what we should worry about all through the ME is this firepower that is going there will likely be used against us at some point. Do you think we are not being shot at by guns bought with American dollars and guns hauled to Iraq by us? I do. Why do the majority of people in the ME hate us? Because "we are there" and because of our ties to Israel. You think we are stabilizing the area? Hasn't been the case so far. steve
