Bill Clinton created 23 million new US jobs during his two terms.
Bush's job creation barely keeps up with the rate of population growth, and Bush's entire economy is based on deficit spending, immense borrowing from semi-friendly countries and devaluing the dollar by 50%. It's also based on corporate criminality a la S+L debacle and Enron whereby corporations make all the rules so they don't need to follow many.

There is some trillion dollars in deficit war spending which no one has any idea how to pay for. As Carter found out after Vietnam, the bill has to be paid, it's real money, so the next few presidents' terms are the ones which really suffer. So we could be headed for deep recessions. The stock markets seem to be feeling this now. The party is over and now the debt must be paid. Bush has run the most reckless and short-sighted economy we have ever seen.
