Hi Ghostrider,
I totally share your point of view. If this kind of behavior is given legal sanction, faith in the law will vanish. I understand the perils of investing. The company you invest in can go out of business and everyone loses their money. What is wrong is people who have the clout essentially gulping the share of those who have a lesser clout and somehow giving it legal sanction.

I think this should be called a violation of the constitutional rights of a citizen. The constitution should guarantee protection of the property of an individual- this is one of the basic principles on which this country is founded. Whatever spin is made to take away this libery is wrong and works to weaken the pillars of this country. I doubt if the intent of the laws framed for corporations is also to chip away on this right. In my opinion someone with civil liberties should be looking at this behaviour and raising a serious red flag.

I still believe that this is a mis-interpretation and mis-representation of the laws which will be corrected before the sun sets on it. Best scenario would be if SGI voluntararily goes to all the shareholders and gives then a deserved share in the new company. That would be fair.

By 2 cents.
