Indirubin This substance is made from the dye indigo. It is found effective in culture medium on breast and other tumours. It was widely used in China on luekemia. Indirubin, a compound isolated from a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, is an effective treatment for chronic myelocytic leukemia. Studies have shown hat indirubin or its derivatives act by inhibiting excessive signaling of the cyclin-dependent kinases and Stat3 metabolic pathways.
