I don't think he's another Elway. He's a different kind of QB than Elway. He's not as elusive but Cutler has a canon for an arm. His velocity is far superior to the kind of ball Elway threw. His delivery is not as compact as Elway's. Elway and Marino had some of the most compact deliveries that I've ever seen - great arms! Cutler is going to need better protection but all the skills are there. Denver will win many games with Cutler at the helm but they'll lose some games this year because of his lack of experience. He's going to be great but that doesn't happen in 8 games.

The main thing that concerns me about Cutler is how he plants his feet. It's a real good thing when your QB can plant, throw and then get light on his cleats. When they don't do that often times a knee injury will happen because they're planted like a statue. Favre has avoided knee issues by being very light on his plants and many times you'll see him do a hop step after the initial plant. Its a real knee saver when you have pressure from the side.
