I haven't followed what's been going on at Harvard very closely, but used to enjoy John Train's chapter on Paul Cabot, and how he persuaded Derek Bok NOT to spend capital, as Yale was doing, and not to be adventurous, as McGeorge Bundy was being with the Ford Foundation's money. Bundy was perhaps the most sophisticated fool ever to come onto the national scene. He helped get the Vietnam War started and he caused the Ford Foundation to lose about two thirds of its real capital.
