re: According to Clayton act, pricing schemes that tend to create monopoly are illegal. Pricing based on percentage of a customer's volume is in that category. Pricing based on customer volume is fine.

Right. Thanks for the lesson, Joe. So you think that Intel asked any customer to keep their volume with Intel over 80% or so and offered incentives to do so, based on something AMD thinks happened and hasn't been able to get anyone to verify.

Well, let's see, I think it was 1982 when I first went to the Intel Anti-trust Institute and learned all about how to behave in front of the customer for anti-trust issues. That program is still going on. And you guess that it hasn't become more sophisticated, today? People have mentioned this about 40 times here.

Just how do you think this supposition is going to be proved without getting into "he said, she said"?

OK, OK, OK. Let's say they do find an actual contract with that wording. Now, you're telling me that all of Intel's business will be penalized for awards? Intel won't show that that DIDN'T happen anywhere else?

This entire lawsuit thing is only for show. It's costing AMD millions and it's going nowhere all b/c of an egocentric CEO. I know, believe me. I worked for him.

Smooth

PS: Apologies to Joe Pesci.
