To anyone, I am new to this thread. I bought an 1171 Sportster for my new 686 Cyrix computer and I am having a problem with it pausing every 15 or so words, when I am posting on stocktalk. It happens every time I log in, and it never happened on my 14,400 Zoom. The pauses last from a few seconds to 2 minutes. My son works at computer city and he has heard this back from customers that he sold USR modems to. It happens to them when they are calling their friends modems. My internet connect is text only but it is free. I have no problem when I use full Internet service, but I don't use it often, as I have to pay LD charges.-Del
