House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said Monday that a strongly positive report on progress on Iraq by Army Gen. David Petraeus likely would split Democrats in the House and impede his party's efforts to press for a timetable to end the war.

Why this isn't being highlighted I don't know. At any rate here is a leading democrat saying that good news from Iraq is bad news for the democratic party. If there was ever a doubt that they want us to lose, this should remove it. Why the republicans are not screaming this at every chance I don't know but they truly are the party of surrender and losing. Anything to get Bush.

Talk about fucking deranged excuse my French. Ask not what is good for your country but ask instead what is good for your party. I think even Kennedy is rolling in his grave over these fools.
