Like I said, you can put lipstick on virtually any pig- if you get to pick and choose from where you draw the trendline.

Why don't you start the trendline for gold from the $800 top of 1980.

That'd be about a 27 year bear market- and a huge underperformance to virtually any and all other asset classes now wouldn't it?
