I just read over the presentation slides posted from Denali's recent MemCon industry conference. All the semiconductor suppliers and wannabee suppliers in the mobile phone/computing/communications markets were there. From Korea to Europe... Samsung... TXN... The SoC guys... Muti-Chip Stackers... Memory players... Volatile... Non-Volatile... Embedded and Off Chip.

If there was even a glimmer of consideration being given to the use of ferroelectric IP in any new mobile communications stuff they are all keeping it secret... under a blizzard of eDRAM, SONOS, FLASH... even FUSe propositions. <ack><Hooie>

Based on everything I've seen on the Internet, the only way FRAM will ever see the inside of a cell phone will be to have a Panasonic/Sony MiFare(?) smartcard or SD-memory card shoved up a card slot.

Not that TI wouldn't like to use it... no doubt they would... if they could shrink the process sub 90nm.

But heck... wHoo needs cell phones! There's got to be at least 2.5 billion electric meters out there... right? And lord only knows how many widgets these state-saver/counter thingies will have to go in... right? ...right? ...I hope they saved a few options for the engineers that came up with those patents. <Hoo?>

That's what I like about this "Politics/Government" forum... I can say anything... whatever I want... and truth is never an issue... all I have to do is keep talking... wait for the commutation... and pray I get the pardon before the impeachment charges. :)

Well... I see somebody is out there nibbling at these outlandish share prices despite my misgivings... Must be another optimist. <Hoo><Hoo><Haa>
