Turtlebrain,

Do you read the articles, or do you just post the links?

Windowing. This IBM stuff is about windowing. Windowing is one, just one of many ways to slap the y2k bug, and it ain't the best.

Ask your friendly neighborhood hacker, no need to trust me, with my -IQ.

For example, how is this going to help to solve the embedded chip problem, which is, by far, the largest percentage of the y2k problem, and by all accounts the most problematic to solve, and the least addressed to date?

Answer: Not at all!

Oh by the way, let's compare one of my dogs to the mighty IBM:

IBM: "Total revenue increased 3.8 percent over the same period of 1996"
sec.yahoo.com

IMRS: "Revenues increased 36.6 percent over the second quarter of 1996. The largest revenue increase was attributable to the Company's continued expansion of its Year 2000 service offering.
sec.yahoo.com

How big a percentage of the total IBM revenue steam is going to come from y2k? Hmmmm?

Bounced Czech
(No IBM, thanks for the offer though. 815 days to go.)
