It is documented that an increase in the minimum wage causes a recession to be measurable 18 months later. about 12 to 18 months after it, the effect it measurably diminished. Consumer confidence lags the end of the recession.

July 2007 > Recession measurable January 2009 - worked out about January 2010
July 2008 > Recession measurable January 2010 - worked out about January 2011 - double whammy probably extends effects to July 2010
July 2009 > Recession measurable January 2011 - worked out about January 2012 - due to triple whammy expect it to be more like January 2013
