That wasn't the question. I imagine Iran would be a lot tougher than Iraq, but I'm pretty sure the American military could capture whatever city they wanted, and probably do a decent job of hunting down various Iranian leaders within the next 12 months. But, the question was how do you liberate Iran without it falling into a chaotic situation similar to Iraq's current state?

With over 70% of the people vehemently against the current regime, the chances are that Iranian resistance would be light.

No, if 70% of Iranians are against the current regime, probably 98% are against having the USA forcibly remove the current regime by force. I'm just making up the resistance number, but it's probably reasonably accurate. Only something like 20% of the US supports Bush, but that doesn't mean 80% of the US wants Russia to forcibly remove Bush, ya know.
