You need to at least see the central issue from their POV.

I do.. as I just stated to Sarman.

But to reiterate, we're surrounding them because they have an expansionist Mahdist ideology. The hardline government doesn't seek detente with it's neighbors. Rather, it seeks to expand it's influence and to forment sectarian religious violence in favor of the Shi'a community in the region.

We're certainly no threat to the Iranian people who, as a whole, do not subscribe to the hard-line policies of their government.
