There were plenty of people who thought we should not attack Germany after Pearl Harbor....but the difference between then and now is that once the decision was made to declare war on all the Axis members. everyone, Repub or Dem got behind it.....

Not true....the Republicans dragged their feet at first.

And that was real war with a real danger associated with it. And even then, the US did not start the war but rather helped finish it. That's the way it should be.
