I'm not worried a bit about citizen on citizen slander and libel. When the court threw out Jerry Falwell's suit against Larry Flint over a feature that had Falwell talking about having sex with his mother in an outhouse, made sense to me. Consider the source.

I'm far more worried about the state stealing reputations and freedom from innocent citizens. That's where we need to focus our attention.

I'd think a healthy and fair libel law would be somewhere between our system and the UK one.
