Booze and driving - no excuse.

(The fact that young folks sometimes do it a bit more then their seniors is likely due to alcohol's effect of lowering inhibitions and bulldozing judgment... that, and the fact that older folks may have more experience at recognizing such effects, know what drinking does to reflexes and awareness, and so refrain more from getting into the car to begin with.)
